We organized our first event titled "Soil, Water and Knowledge: On Philosophy and History of Science in Andalusia" was held on Wednesday, 20 November 2019, with Prof. İhsan Fazlıoğlu as a speaker.
"There is no meaning without matter": Drawing attention to the importance of soil and water in understanding the intellectual life in Andalusia, Fazlıoğlu deals with the issues of why knowledge production has increased in Andalusia and as a result, where this production has reached in a period of about 800 years.
After sharing valuable information about andalusian mathematicians, astronomers, philosophers and logicians, Fazlıoğlu answered the questions of the participants. The event ended with mutual thanks.
